The 7th annual Commerce vs. Engineering Hockey game will bring together 5,000 fans from Queens and Kingston in support of cancer research. The game will be filled with excitement and passion as the school's oldest and most storied rivalry faces off in a highly anticipated game. Most importantly, we open the event with a heartfelt component as we welcome a cancer survivor to center ice for a ceremonial puck drop, as fans throughout the arena stand united, raising signs of the names of those they fight for. These touching moments underscore the game's greater purpose and the power of unity and community support, demonstrating that our collective passion is bigger than cancer. The 2022 game successfully raised $200,000 in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. Our goal for this year's event is to surpass that amount and reach our fundraising target of $250,000. By doing so, we hope to have an even greater impact on the cause and support the 1 in 2 Canadians who are expected to be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime.
